Hibiscus Nambour Retirement Village

Client Brief

Our long-time client Keyton contacted SLD with the task of replacing the aged and occasionally faulty mains powered bollards with solar powered alternatives, much like our previous works at other Keyton sites. They had the overall aim for a lighting revitalisation at the, Hibiscus Nambour Retirement Village, as a multi-site project, with Allora Gardens Retirement Village.

Assessment

After conducting site visits, discussions, and consultations with the client to evaluate the key installation requirements, Orion Premium White bollards, the Blade Solar Light and the Solar Wall Lights were the ideal solution for the project determined by SLD and the client. The bollards were replaced at a multitude of locations across the site, with certain locations requiring varying levels of overhead lighting to meet specific needs.

Outcome

Both of our NSW and QLD worked together closely, staying near the Hambour site to guarantee a seamless and effective procedure, similarly to the Allora Retirement Village project. The teams were able to successfully install 8 of the custom designed Orion Premium White bollards, 3 overhead streetlights attached to galvanized hinged column, and 2 wall-mounted solar lights. The overhead streetlights and wall-mounted solar lights placed in areas that had differing lighting solutions.
